Hundreds, Tens and Ones!

Fred and Ben are learning to break 3 digit numbers into Hundreds, Tens and Ones. They can do it really well. We then made numbers using Hundreds, Tens and Ones. Making 1000 was a bit of a challenge!

Free maths time...

This is what Brylie and Fred were doing during choosing time for maths... maths time = fun!
Brylie was balancing the scales with 5s and 10s. Fred was writing all numbers to 100 from memory, and Ben was building towers representing teen-numbers. Clever kids!

Our shop personnel for the day!

We have a shop in Room 1. We fill plastic milk bottles and containers with (plastic) fruit and beans, so we learn to count really well. Here is some of our friendly personnel, ready to serve their customers.

Celebrating 100 days at school...

On Monday it had been 100 days since the beginning of the school year. Today we celebrated. We made  crowns, we read a poem, we made 100 with the fancy felts and we decorated cakes and ate them all up! What a great day we had.
