Fun Friday!

"Greedy Cat is hungry", was a favourite book today. We discussed characters and turned the book into a play!
We drew Greedy Cat, and we worked some more on Splat the Cat.
We studied a new poem: "Look". We all have a Greedy Cat book in our book bags as well.

Just had to share this poem!
...and thank you for your comments and feedback on this blog. It makes keeping up with it much more worthwhile!

We are writing more and more in our writing books. Placemats are used to locate letter shapes and high frequency words. Ka pai Ruma Tahi!

Today we learned to play Yatzee with a buddy. We add the two dice together and cross off the number on the game board. We can now play this game independently with others!  Tumeke!

Learning letters and sounds

In Room 1 we learn the letters and sounds by using a mix of  the Jolly Phonics method and  Yolanda Soryl's method.
